In the paper entitled "A perspective view of dieting to lower the blood-cholesterol" by H. M. Whyte and Nathane Havenstein that appeared in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 29: 784-790, 1976 the last sentence on page 786 and the first sentence on page 787 should read "The top category of items which contribute more than 10 mg/100 ml includes brains, double servings of meat, one egg per day and butter. Intermediate contributors include lean meat, liver, kidney, drippings, cheese, cream, ordinary margarine, chicken, and milk." The authors regret this error.
