Plasma vitamin E, cholesterol, vitamin A, and
-carotene were determined for five groups of Indians (911 persons) from British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. The best correlation for plasma vitamin E was found to be with plasma cholesterol and age. It is suggested that the relationship between cholesterol and vitamin E reflects their close association with the plasma
-lipoprotein fraction, which may be the determining factor in the regulation of circulating levels of vitamin E and cholesterol.
