In the present study, the tissue zinc concentration of 30 adult subjects at necropsy from the two broad categories of disease and nondisease (sudden accidental death) were determined. Zinc concentration (microgram per gram of constant dry weight) of the bone, muscle, liver, pancreas, and kidney did not reveal any statistically significant differences between these two groups. The insufficient number of subjects with a specific disease did not permit statistical analyses of tissue zinc concentration in each particular disease.
