Plasma aminogram in pigs with infectious Escherichia coli diarrhea

A strain of E. coli causing an acute gastroenteritis in young pigs reduced plasma arginine, threonine, and tyrosine values. Plasma methionine, leucine, and lysine values were increased. Nonessential plasma amino acids were markedly reduced.
