Folate Activity and Ascorbic Acid in Serum of Anemic Pregnant Nigerian Women

Ascorbic acid deficiency was not demonstrated in 14 recently delivered or pregnant Nigerian patients with severe anemia. The determination of the thermostable factor of serum folic acid activity does not provide any useful information in the investigation of megaloblastic anemia.
