Human adipose tissue was obtained from a group of twelve subjects who had been ingesting diets containing large amounts of polyunsaturated fat for eighteen months or more and from a group of thirty-one hospitalized control subjects. The average tocopherol contents of the adipose tissues (132 and 144 µg. per gm. lipid) did not differ appreciably between the two groups, but there were wide variations
